Highlights of a zero mile R&R day in Portland:
Tabasco worked on the backyard at Eric and Ashley’s house, doing landscaping work, to make some trail money. I whittled away at the long logistical to-do list during the morning hours and visited with Eric, who took some morning hours off before going to work. Debi and I spent the afternoon together, eating lunch at Nicholas’s, a Lebanese/Mediterranean Café (yum) and perusing the Renaissance Bookstore and lounging in Washington Park. Eric and Ashley kindly treated Debi, Tabasco and me for dinner at an AYCE Chinese buffet (gotta put some pounds back on for the next section), then Debi and I went downtown to see her girlfriend, Vanessa, at her studio apartment and for a beer at McMenemin’s Blue Moon Pub. It’s so great to be back in Portland!
