Batch #09b
June 5 to June 7: A Cold and Windy Trek into the Mojave Desert
Marine layer clouds burn off in early morning sunshine.
Here we go...dropping down from lush vegetation to large burn to the Mojave Desert floor.  Tehachapi mountains on the horizon to the northeast.
Nightingale, Nitro, and Bono winding through private ranch property prior to reaching Mojave desert floor.
Looks like a desert gulch...cause it is one!
Only one more mile down that fence line to that little oasis of trees...and the highway walk to the convenience store in the desert.
Desert rats Doodlebug, Rabbit, and Nitro preparing for a highway walk to the convenience store.
So who would really have a desire to trespass into the desert wasteland anyway?  Only thru-hikers allowed!
Desert, desert, desert...they don't bury the dead here, cause "buzzards gotta eat, same as worms"
Rabbit by the California Aqueduct...water for the masses, all the way from the High Sierras a couple hundred miles to the north.
